Afraid not, at least not yet. I have only just found the film by a chance search. I'm hoping it will attend the track at the National in June along with several of our other incarnations, plus hopefully a glut of modified and standard cars will be willing to take on the short sprint circuit. :D

Oooooohhhh Nice.

Dammit I've drooled on the keyboard again.

I really like the way it fits so neatly in the space like it was always supposed to be there.

Maybe Issigonisis always expected it to be :) ;)

Issi expected the car to have a flat 4 boxer engine - that's why the bay is so wide!

That always puzzled me as nuffield intended to use the Wolsley 8 engine but changed to the side valve due to cost.

Possibly materials shortages in the immediate post-war years too perhaps?

The original design was for a flat 4 engine. That was shelved due to development problems and costs, and Izzi was intstructed to use the existing 918 side valve from the Morris 8. The intention was to replace this with the OHV version fitted to the Wolseley 8, however the A Series was up and running when Austin took over and was inflicted on the Morris Minor
