I have already posted this in Mechanical, but thought it may be better here!

I hope someone on here can help here! I have several axles lying about and am trying to find out what came from what car originally!
The first one i was told is a Mark 2 escort and i trust the source but am looking for confirmation please! It has 8 inch drums and a pcd of 108mm
Image
I would also like to know if there is a way of telling the ratio of the diff without removing it? I can see no obvious marking like you have on a good old Minor diff!! :D

The second axle i was told was Ford when it came to me in a Minor pick up but the PCD is 98mm? and inside one of the massive NINE inch brake drums is cast FIAT, but which model would have the axle have been from??
Image
This is the end view of them!
Image
Hi, the second axle is fiat and is from a 131 or 132. The diff ratio will depend on what engine size the donor car was. These are good strong axles, I have heard of people running 250-300 bhp through them. I ran one on my 2.0 minor for nearly 10 years with no problems at all( this axle was from a 2000tc mirafiori and had 3.7 ratio). I even have one tucked away at the back of the garage for future use.

the first axle is Ford english [ escort etc]
to find out the diff ratio : stop one half shaft turning , turn the other half shaft and count the no. of turns / part turns you need for one full turn of the prop. flange , then multiply this no. by 2
eg : 2.1 turns of the 1/2 shaft for one full turn of the prop. will be a 4.2 CWP
