Valve decoke

I removed the outlet valves on my newish 940 head to check the condition. There's quite a carbon build up on the exhaust valves but other than that everything looks good. Any tips on decoking the valves? Scrape it all off? Use chemicals? Lathe/sandpaper?? What's the best thing to do as I don't want to damage the valves.

Spin it in leccy drill - and hold file against it - finish off with emery paper. Don't touch the seats!
