Van info needed

Hies, I found a very rotten van in a scrap yard I'm not sure how to age it, there's no engine number, I couldn't see a tag on the block. I want to hoover up the running gear for spares, I was thinking best way to ID it would be to see what number is cast in to the head? I can't look to see if the gearbox is smooth or ribbed.

It had very distinctive carbs, allu log manifold with two SU's going to an elbow and then on to a small roundish air box. I wish I could have measured them but I was in a rush.

What should I be looking for here to ID the engine? Is there anything else I should take for the saloon?

When I say the air box is roundish, it's not cylindrical.

Oil filter in the same place as my 1098, dosn't really matter what size it is tbh as long as it's not a 948 or less.

Also there's an engine in the yard that's the spitting image of morris side valve engine but with austin cast in to the cover. I'm guessing it's the same engine? It's a tiny thing wasn't much of an effort to lift it.

ok

look on the side of the block and it should have a number like 1000 for a 948 and 1100 for as 1098

also i think the 948 engines were not ribbed blocks
