my car ( '56 splitscreen ) has been changed to neg' earth will the condensor need swapping as well or can it be used as it is.

It's now running 'in reverse' - that should be ok, but you never know! The points should be either stoned flat - or renewed, as they will have a pit and a peak from the original +ve running - and this will now reverse, so making a mess of the surfaces! Same applies to the fuel pump points. I assume you have already reversed the coil connections.

yes I have already changed the coil connections when I swapped to neg' earth. I think i'll have to strip the points out and the rotor arm to make sure they have a good surface, and clean up the distr' cap
