Series II wiper embellishers

Series II owners please advice if the embellishers beneath the clap hands wipers were colour coated or otherwise and pics if any...with thanks

Just popped out to take photos and found one of mine is Chrome and the other is not !! Maybe the chrome bits missing on the drivers side ?<br>

I believed that they were not chromed but simply bare metal. Only later cars had chromed ones... but I might be wrong!

The old ones I have are colour coated is this the case?

Mines a late series 2 (Jan 1956) with the round speedo and bar grill so they probably made them chrome as part of the facelift.

Could it be that the chromed ones are the later type, which are substantially bigger?

Later ones won't fit as the wiper shafts are a different design

Our Series II doesn't have chromed embellishers. Just bare metal so I painted them black.

Most I've seen are painted silver. Suspect the bare metal ones are where the paint has just dropped off due to poor paint adhesion on the alloy casting...

Sorry, that should have read "green" not black.
