starter motor

well i think i had better look into getting a new starter motor for the car, so can anyone recommend where to go to get a new one/reconditioned one? or indeed know where you can get one one reconditioned in the Portsmouth/Southampton area?

yeah i had a look, there are some which look the same but doesn't state that they are for that engine. without knowing about flywheel teeth etc it's a bit costly to guess!

Can you check part numbers? Often starters fit a wide range of engine sizes, and if you cross reference the part number against other engine sizes, you may be lucky (Fiat obviously).

First try would be Halfords (as I have a trade card), then I would try any other autofactors. They all should be able to do a recon exchange unit.

There used to be Donovan auto electrics next door to where Rod used to work, but I dont know if they are still there, they would have reconed what you had.
