Well evening everybody, havent been on here much recently for all sorts of educational reasons!

So, progress update!

All structural welding is now completed and the chassis has been primed, painted and undersealed! After 2 years I now have a solid shell!





Im now going to focus on getting a rolling chassis, if all goes well I shall have the back axle back on the car in the next couple of weeks.

Also started examining bits of the front suspension for wear n tear......spot the worn torsion bar anchor pin!!


Hopefully Ill be able to spray the engine bay soon and get the engine back in.....its just sat on the bench taunting me at the moment and collecting dust.......

Strip to bare metal, cover all the bad rust areas with Phosphoric acid. Then 2 coats of zinc rich primer, rubberised seam seal all the joints/welds etc. Then 2 coats of red oxide primer, then 3 coats of chassis black. Then 2 coats of hammerite underseal, followed by another coat around the areas most exposed to weather.

really nice work, its given me a boost to carry on with my restoration i,m a long way off at the moment but hope to finaly get there and your work has certainly helped me,good luck,neil.
