When testing that your carb float doesn't have any holes in it by dunking it in a glass of water, don't forget what it was there for and drink from the glass 10 minutes later

Best way to test a float - is to shake it! If it's leaking there will be petrol inside. If not leaking - it will be empty. Long long time since I heard of any leaky floats anyway!

This was an old carb that I'm doing up for someone so any petrol would have dried out a long time ago, hence the glass of water and look for bubbles approach!
