Hi Guys
Whats involved in actually fitting an escort axle to the minor? I know the spring perches are in the wrong place, can I just extend them to suit?
I know I am going to need to do something with the brake line (I might as well make everything metric soon!) but what about the hand brake cable?

you can get replacement spring perches, just grind off the old ones and weld on the new ones in the correct place.
I do not know about the hand brake cables, i am sure somone able to answer that question will be along soon

I know about the spring perches from JLH but I dont have the cash right now and I have no problems in fabricating bits! I could even make solid ones!

Basically, axle perches set correctly, axle plates and U bolts and Ford - Minor handbrake cables, prop.and some form of axle location.

Not worried about the anti-tramp/location at the moment I only have a boggo 1275 and im putting new springs on. When I get the Zetec im going to put a 5 link in.
Prop and U bolts are sorted

Holy cow! Best get some good brakes matey or you'll overshoot junction 2 on the way to the Empress!
Hang on, scrub round that little cost problem.
You can get to it from the next junction - plenty of space to slow down for that.

Ahh you wern't at sadmog were you?
How about a vented ford setup with all new parts (except hubs) for about £120?
I have all the bits too and possibly enough of the "difficult" bits to make a few more sets!

just make sure when you do find it you don't try dabbing it on the screen. It'll be no use when you scroll down the screen
