Water Ingress

Hi Guys, I am getting a small amount of water (after rain) on the the cill step under the drivers door i.e. I only notice it when the I open the drivers door and there is a slight puddle there. I don't know if rain is somehow getting down on the front edge of the door or could it be the window seals in the door are shot?

I have replaced the windscreen rubber when the new screen was fitted and a new 1/4 light rubber and these seems to be bone dry.

Has anyone else had any experience of this and what did you do to solve it?

Thanks Jeff

The door window seals are not watertight, only there to stop the glass clattering about too much - so rain will run down inside and then out through the drain holes in the door bottoms. There are replacement 'touch glass' seals available (like modern cars) but I don't know how successful thes are.

I'm a convert to the touch glass type seals.
They stop the windows rattling and keep the water out.
Don't do what I did (which seemed like a great idea at the time).
This was to use the old seal as a pattern to cut the new one and make the holes for the clips.
It worked after a fashion but left a gap of several mill at one end.
If I'd taken a little longer and not assumed nothing could go wrong then I could have got e really nice fit both ends :(
