Someone, everyone, please tell me that it doesn't look like I'm being an idiot! I'm the high bidder as I write this, and the reserve has been met!

Looks alright to me! Should be easy enough to source some green front seats. Looks like money has been spent in the right areas - floor structure, so should be ok. Seen similar cars fetch more tbh.

Looks OK and could be a good buy, good reg as well. Good luck. If it falls through there are a couple of good sounding cars on this web site in the for sales.

Some rather strange expenditure listed (engine heater! - suggests starting difficulties?) - but does look a nice car. I'm afraid the bidding may have some way to go - and you have drawn attention to it on here! Slightly worrying that the seller is also selling another car - is he a dealer ??

What is a Kenlowe engine heater?

If it's what I'm thinking of it's a little device that sits in one of the radiator hoses that pre-warms the engine on a cold morning, it plugs into the mains.
Not sure I'd agree with BMC, not necessarily an indicator of starting problems, it's just nice to get into a car with an already warm, engine in the winter.
I fancy fitting one to the traveller, if anyone else has one, I'd be glad of a review.
Nice car BTW, looks nice and tidy, green seats and it'll look great inside. Bodywork looks tidy too. Might be worth having a look at it first. (or just take a punt and go for it!!).

looks nice. One comment though he makes a fuss of the ownership details and gives dates of who and when but he says 3 owners yet its had 4 previous which is 5!
Couple of extra owners means that the details he gives are not quite all true.

Reading it again I think he's classing himself and his daughter as one owner = family owned?

Seems v odd to spend £200 (!!!) on an engine pre-heater! Very common (almost essentail) in Scandanavia and some parts of Canada - but seems way over the top in England. And - they don't cost anything like that in Canada ! Must have been some reason for spending all that dosh - besides wanting a warm car!

£200!!!!
Crikey didn't realise they were that much. I missed that bit!
In that case, don't think I will be fitting one to Maurice the trav!
Just have to make do with a blanket

£200 could buy me some nice engine goodies
Very common (almost essentail) in Scandanavia and some parts of Canada
Yes, You can see rows of sockets in car parks for people to plug their cars in at night (or day!).

Somebody outbid me!
I have to say I'm a bit relieved, not just because there is no chance of me going to look at it before the auction ends, and so I was taking a massive punt, but also because I found out today that I have to spend about two grand on re-pointing my house... so bang goes the money I'd saved to buy me a Morris Minor, because I can't leave the pointing as it is. The house is stone, not brick, and it's single skin, so if the pointing fails, the whole house gets damp.
I'm gutted, because I have a really good feeling about this one. Mind you, with a bit of luck it's going to get bid up way past my limit, and that'll make me feel better.

Just do the pointing yourself - it's not rocket science!

I agree, if you can keep a Morris Minor on the road you can scrape loose mortar out between stones and fill the gap with mortar/cement.
Too many things to do with house maintenance are actualy very simple but too many people are scared of them.

Only take about 5 minutes if you use this device !

I also need to repoint my house - however by the end of the year I'm out of a job, so the pointing can wait...
If i get a new job, my redundancy will pay for the repointing, and if not I'm planning to DIY and save a packet.

Oh dear- sorry to hear that too Dennis.
I was 'redundant' 3 times in my working life - the last one being the opportunity for 'early retirement'.
