does anyone have any pics of what the sill area should look like from the underside or do you know a thread that will show me what it should look like I think I have a good idea of how it should look but as its all missing under that area apart from the box section inside the car and the ladder rail thingy which is real good I have got a new kick plate the outer piece and the under sill but only the outer one thats the bit I want to see the inner under sill and does it come in 2 bits

Tog, are we talking 3 door or 4 door / pick up or van? 2 doors have 2 closing plates that are not structural. 4 doors, I think, have just one, again not structural, just cosmetic.....

From memory the part described as the outer under sill is actually a repair panel for the outer edge of the floor pan. By this i mean,if you buy a replacment floor pan it lips up the inside of the box section rather than going underneath it and joining the outer sill. The outer under sill fills this missing part.

The extra panel welded to the outer edge of the floor pan i believe is the part you are talking about. The rotten part next to it is the outer sill proper. All ive done is trimmed the repair panels and butt welded them to retain the origional floor design and not have lots of lap welds.

A little hard to make out but you can see the extra two panels along the outer edge is this pic.
Hope this helps

Try this

The new black bit at the front i believe is the part you mean. Comes in two parts either side of the crossmember. This is before it was trimmed

And the same panel at the rear of the floor

That's them Tog, Rod's pics show the bits I was referring to. They just close off the gap between floor and sill edge.

They are easy to make out of sheet. They just need the edges folding up. I usually search the parts websites for the idea of the required shape then make it myself
