Bonnet catch slider tension spring

Could any one suggest how I can fit a bonnet catch slider tension spring.

Do you mean on the long release rod that comes through the bulkhead or the actual catch mech on the front panel?

Welcome to the Forum! I think you need to explain to us what the problem is . If it is the long spring on the release rod - then it attaches to the front panel - and to the little slider which locks on the rod at a point where the tension is as you wish it to be. Are you missing some parts ?

Thanks for the replies and sorry not to be more specific.
Looking at the Morris Minor Center (Bath) parts list the part no that I mean is BPF117 spring-slider-tension.
All other bonnet catch mech parts are fitted to the cowl assembly PAN141 but the spring mentioned above is missing.

That spring hooks over the hole in the end of the sliding latch and through a hole in the front panel. It also has a plastic sleeve over it for protection.
