Plusgas suppliers?

Post by jollyroger »

I am trying to get my hands on some plusgas. Does anyone know of any stockists? I tried a web search and will need to pay more in postage than the price of the can.
I couldn't find a company link for the manufacturer of plusgas at all. I wanted to to look for local distributors.
Any suggestions?

The Manufatureres of Plusgas are English Abrasives.
RS sell it but the nearest branch to you is in Glasgow.
As it is commonly used in Engineering it could be worth trying your local tool suppliers as well as local motor factors, or just be a litle cheeky and ask at a local workshop if they know where you can get some.
Or as Dennis has said 3 in 1 As all their products are pretty good just make sure you get the dismantling fluid, not that I have ever brought the wrong thing because I was in too much of a rush to read the label
Cheers

My local Halfords had Plusgas last year, no idea if they still do.

Autoparts - in Chapelhall?? If they don't have Plusgas - they will have an equivalent. But don't use WD40 - it's not a release agent.
I don't know if RS will deal with you if you don't have an account ?

Thanks BMC. I never thought of them.
I picked up some 3 in 1 from Screwfix and it has loosened off the rusty bumper nuts.
