Whilst you're all here....
Figured it would be a good time to bring up the topic from a few months ago - ie. the possibility of a meet/rally organised by us lot.
Most people so far thought a midlands based meet would be best as it will exclude fewer people by distance (eg. Gaydon). Possibly wiith a drive session included.
Does anyone want to volunteer to help organise it?
Messages welcome under the post, but you can PM me if you feel the need.

Well, it was (mainly) my idea so I can't sit back and let others do the legwork !
Count me in (but please not during February as I'm away from the 9th). I think May would be good time to avoid freezing rain & ice and Warwickshire is very pretty around that time.

I'm in. Anything around the Mids, and I'll do my best.
Some idea as to when, would be good.... Maybe we could have an early meet somewhere, say end of January....?

7 people have replied to the post, but only 5 have voted???
I'd love to come, would also be happy to help, but don't know how much time I'll have available.
Perhaps you could put together a list of jobs / teams and circulate it, then people would be able to sign up to something, having some idea of what was involved?
Having never been to a rally (almost got to this years national), I have little idea what is required.

I am the same Ben.
And I thought I had submitted a vote but came back just now and realised that I obviously hadn't so one of those non voters was me.

There seem to be a few of us in the same boat here.
January is a little early for me but ill try and make it whatever the date. (May sounds good and it'll give me 6 Months to get an mot)

I think before we start listing jobs we need to asertain what people want from the event. How organised does it need to be? Which venue, asuming Gaydon is the first choice. Number of people attending, (difficult to say and hopefully we get a positive response)
I like the idea of a drive though as the lanes are great fun up there in warwickshire.
Also i have a fair bit of time at the moment as im not working. If there is anything that can be done now to help procedings then let us know and ill crack on with it.
Cheers
Edd

Thanks for the positive responses.
By next week I'll get those interested into a discussion about what on earth we might do for an event and what time of year will be best. From that we should be able to come out with a list of things to do.

This is exactly the sort of event that I've been thinking about to help bring young owners into the club... but that's a totally different thread, so I'll shut up.
If only Cornwall was closer to the Mids, I'd be laughing!
