Sunday 26th April
DRIVE IT DAY® is the historic vehicle movement's annual showcase event. It happens each year on the Sunday nearest 23 April, the anniversary of the start of the 1,000 mile strial of 1900.

In 2008, that was 20 April and photographs of the happenings all over the United Kingdom can be seen HERE.

"Drive It Day" Insurance

The primary aim of Drive It Day on 26 April is to showcase the historic vehicle movement and perhaps we could invite those not lucky enough to have an historic vehicle the chance to have a ride. For anyone who would like to give a younger family member the chance to have a drive two insurance companies are offering a special deal for FBHVC member clubs.

RH Specialist Insurance can offer top up cover for drivers over 20 who have held a full licence for a year, for existing policy holders only. This will be comprehensive cover for 26 April, Drive It Day.
Contact Allan Mitchell Tel: 01277 206911.

Peter Best Insurance are offering a ‘Sons and Daughters’ scheme to encourage more young drivers into the movement. This policy is available for family of current active club members who are already policy holders.

For full details and conditions contact Matthew Best Tel: 01621 878751

I hope he will then be infected with the classic car bug, a malaise for which there is no cure.

Roger,

P.S. the north beds villages are best to avoided for the day!!!!!
