Hi All,
Is there an oil seal where the propshaft enters on the ford type 9 box as I seem to have a small drip of oil at the back of the gearbox on my Morris.

Also if I change the pulley on the water pump to a small one will this make the water pump more effective or will it not make any difference. Just asking as I have a small one from my 1098 engine and the 1275 has a larger pulley and the thought ran through my head to swap them over.

Thanks, Jeff

I used the smaller pulley on my Mini - and it helped the cooling there Jeff. But the Minor has a much bigger radiator - and it's s ensibly placed in the airstream (unlike Mini) - so I would use the larger pulley and reduce pump and fan revs !

If you fit the small pulley you may not have enough adjustment on the dynamo bracket to take up the slack in the fan belt.

and then use a different fan belt

The alternator size belt would do.
