newbie tonight.

Hi everyone,

I thought it was about time I registered after lurking in the background for far too long.

This is 'Babs'* my Modified Pickup, that me and friend rebuilt some 8 years ago. When it was first restored it attended several Brooklands and London to Brighton events. Unfortunately I decided to lay the Minor up for a couple years, which in hindsight was a stupid thing to do given all the work that went into the rebuild.

However a couple of months ago I decided to recommision the pickup as a way to help promote my small Lingfield based Joinery business, which like many others has seen a steady decline in orders over the last few months. To this end the Minor will be sign written shortly. So over the last few weeks, the Minor has had a major overhaul, including a complete chassis clean and paint followed by a complete waxoyl treatment.

I'm hopeful that 'Babs' will be at Brooklands on Sunday, I just need to get a fresh MOT!

BTW. I used to own a Maroon Traveller AYM 30H, does anyone know if its still around.

* The car was named by the previous owner, after the famous Parry Thomas Land Speed Record Car.

Thanks everyone,

Dan, I will try to post a shot of the tail end tomorrow. The Pick up was sign written today, and will hopefully be MOT'd on Friday.
