Hi Guys

I want to fit some capri hubs ( i have them and it looks feasable) to the minor to get a 4x108 PCD.

To do this I need to know the dimensions of the standard minor bearings, can anyone help?

I especially need to know internal dia. and the width of both front bearings so I can look up and see if there is a "standard" wheel bearing avaliable off the shelf

Cheers :)

I'll see if I can get some measurements tomorrow, if you have no luck tonight.

6207 nominal size is 35mm inside, 72mm outside, 17mm wide if that helps

The best figures I can come up with are as follows-----outer front bearing 0.550 thick/wide, shaft diameter 0.668. Inner bearing ? thick/wide, shaft diameter 0.983. I measured the stub axle to get the diameters and I only had the outer bearing to get the thickness from.

Both the Minor front wheel bearings are metric series, which is why the imperial dimensions look a bit odd.

These are the two bearings:

Inner 7205B 25mm ID 52mm OD 15mm Wide
Outer 7303B 17mm ID 47mm OD 14mm Wide

They are angular contact ball bearings, and were originally 'face adjusted', which means a closer tolerance on the thickness. Most of the commonly avaliable bearings toady are not face adjusted, which is why there are problems getting them to fit as they should.

I think the 6207 is the rear hub bearing?

oops  the code I gave on my earlier post was for a rear bearing ,

I thought my imperial sizes were coming up strange--- now I
know why!
