May I invite you to join us at Lynford Hall just outside Mundford, Norfolk? I'm the Area Secretary for the Norfolk Area MG Owners Club and am hosting a Drive Day.

Arrive after 10:00 and we will set off at 10:30. There will be two legs to the event. The first map and a raffle ticket will be provided at the start.

We will arrive in Clare, Suffolk by noon. The prize drawing (some nice tools and a few bits and bobs) will be held and some of us will have a meal, others may have a pint or two...

The second stage will start around 1:15. A map will again be provided and the destination will be back to Lynford Hall.

Here, you will be welcome to have a coffee or a pint inside the hall.

There's no cost for the event or raffle ticket.

All classic/interesting cars and enthusiasts are welcome. If, by chance, your classic is laid up at the moment, you still would be welcome in your non-classic. You may find yourself invited into an empty seat of one of the cars going on the run.

Fabulous area for a drive :D

I was on holiday in Clare recently - absolutely gorgeous village. I believe the cock a doodle diddley Inn serves excellent ale, as well as very good food :)

Have a great day! 8)

We'd be pleased to see any or all of you ('specially if you live as close as Watton). I'll be there by 10 am.

Hope to see you. A Minor or two really classes things up, don't you think?

It was an absolute brilliant day! The weather cooperated, the meal was very, very good, and the cars were gorgeous. I'm working on plans for one in April. It will be on a weekend and will begin and end at Lynford Hall.

I'll make a note of it on this forum, and all here are welcome.

Chris-Sorry you couldn't get it sorted. I feel your pain. I did a nice job of nearly sabotaging Lesley's MG last night...I topped up the tank...with 14 litres of diesel. I was quite busy last night rectifying that colossal mistake. Anyway...

Lynford Hall is the location of our monthly meetings (Norfolk Area MG Owners Club). Nice bar, great atmosphere and gobs and gobs of parking. The hospitality of the staff combined with the secluded and huge garden/carpark make it the ideal location. One of my biggest concerns when taking the GT out to a gathering is the parking...I don't want some prat to park next to me and use my car to stop his door from opening fully. So Lynford Hall will continue to be the start of all our runs. But I am looking for ideas for the next route...perhaps north this time?

We meet on the third Thursday of each month at around 7 PM (but if we have a drive day it will replace our normal Thursday meet). All marques are welcome...you don't have to have an MG. Our theme in March is "Cars you had when you were younger." All attendees and guests are requested to bring photos of them and their cars from the past.

Anyone can send me an email and I'll add you to the mailing list of events. We're a small friendly group.
