Am i right in thinking that 155 wheels are harder to come by than the 145's?

I'll need to aquire one in the not too distant future, since my spare will be used to replace the bent wheel at the back where someone has driven me into the pavement whilst I was parked.

Thanks for help, Tobias

You must check that it is only the wheel that has been damaged.
The back axle may be distorted too.
The 155 refers to the tyre size. All Minor 1000 models (with the exception of some vans and pick-ups) had the same size wheel and the tyre size was equivilent to 145. Most Minor parts specialists can supply 145 or 155 tyres.

I think Tobias has a Van and therefore his wheels are bigger than saloon or traveller wheels and are indeed more difficult to get hold of. Check ebay or put a wanted post on here also....

the 8cwt version of the van and pick up had wider rims

the rim you want is LP917 or LP 936

very hard to get

Minor Developments, Minor Matters p. 47, do a wide wheel.

Thanks all. I do indeed have a van. I am getting the axle/chassis checked tomorrow; hope it's not too serious. TH
