Can anyone tell me the best way to go about
changing a worn hinge pin?. (Drivers side door)
Is it just a matter of drifting out the old pin?. Or is there something that holds it in place?
I have looked but cannot see any thing that holds it in position. I have tried a couple of light taps with a hammer and punch but it seems to be solid.
Also does it come out from the bottom up?.
Thankyou.

Lo, as far as I remember one end of each pin
is splined. the pin is tapped in from the top
so that the spline is the last part to be
inserted i.e. it stops the pin from falling
out of the bottom. I fitted oversized pins
to remove all wear, very successfully. it entailed drilling out the original holes
with a 0.328" drill. The oversized pins are
available from 'MINOR DEVELOPMENTS on
