Strip on Bonnet

Been meaning to ask about this for months but have never got around to it
If you look at the pictures of my car below there is an extra chrome strip on the bonnet that I've not seen on other Minors before.
Has anybody else got it on their car or seen it on anybody else's? Or is it just something a previous owner thought looked good?

Your images have not come out, it appears from your signature that you have a line down the middle of your bonnet.
Never seen one before I think it must have been added by a previous owner to help them keep the car pointing straight the car down the road

Not original but looks nice, works really well with the spiltscreen.

The mini as well! You DO like your bonnet stripes
Looks lovely on the mog, as Onne said follows the split screen nicely.

Well as with most of them my car does need a bit of work
I'd agree that the strip does go quiet well with the split screen, the reason I haven't been tempted to remove it.
The mini isn't mine, its a friends. He hates his strips and plans on removing them

Hope he's keeping the revolution wheels, they set the orange off a treat!
