Have posted my first numpty question and thought an introduction would be polite.
I live in east Sussex and have always loved Moggies, For my birthday a few years ago my lovely husband bought me the ultimate sports car-a cream morris convertible 1958. Shes lovely but very much only used when the weather is perfect.
Last week on impulse I "accidentally" bought a traveller on Ebay Have collected her today and was really pleased. Shes a 1970 trafalger blue, rebuilt at a specialist garage 14 yrs ago, starting to show signs of wear now but started like a dream and drove back nicely in the atrocious driving conditions we have had today
here she is

The woodwork needs attention, there is some rust on the passenger doors and the wings adjacent to the doors, the chrome is really in quite good nick and the woodwork is not too bad. She had new rear doors 2 yrs ago. Even has heated rear windscreens-couldnt work out how to switch them on though
Idea was that she would be my runaround for the dogs but now of course I just want to restore her and make her look lovely

Hey there, welcome to the forum. It a lovely place here, very friendly . First, let me start off by saying that this does not look like a hard resto project. Some of the people on hear are completly devoted to there minors and they are simply beutiful, and i think your can be too!. First, are you lookign to modify it in any way?, no not that sort. I just mean like doing the common things like disc brakes. Or are you gonna have it go concours?. Looks nice not the less, well looks brand new compared to mine .

Are you in Eastbourne, i have seen a traveller similar to yours?

Well done! Lovely honest looking car. Chuck the dogs in and use it- if you tart it up you'll grit your teeth every time you get a dog hair on the interior! High back front seats, heated rear screens, Wonder what else??

What a good choice for running the dogs around. Maybe i will see it being driven around since im local to you. Looks a good honest car.

Will take a pic of my convertible for you when the sun next comes out, she is in lovely and original condition.
Think I will do a bit of traveller tarting up now, smarten up wheels, polish chrome, tcut etc then look to sorting out woodwork (sound but yucky brown varnish) and getting bodywork /welding looked out later in the summer (due mot in july) Might get the brakes upgraded too.
Have learned a lot already from here.
Commercialman-will look out for you-am just up from lewes so not far
