Spotted this on the net. Luckily the driver was not too badly injured but it demonstrates how sturdy the Minor is. If he was in a less solid car it could have been a lot worse. Seems to have been a modified car - spot the twin exhaust.

Good grief
the truck clipped the rear of the car
is a bit of an understatement.
There is hardly anything left of the rear
Definitely modified, check out the wood rim steering wheel.

Thats modern technology at work. If it had been a Morris 8, I shudder to think.

Looking at the local news seeing the state of the cars that came off on the ice this week and comparing them to the damage to My Albert. Either they were driving faaaaar too fast or the Minor is immensely strong in comparison.

The minor *is* extremely strong in comparison. However, the down side of that is that while the minor may come off quite well, you won't get the benefit of the crumply-metal of a modern car crumpling and slowing you down a little more gently. And those soft squishy organs inside your body are prone to being thrown around somewhat.
Mind you, that's not stopped me driving the Minor or the DAF.
