Hello im from the the state of Oklahoma in USA just wondering if there were any other americans on this board

Have a 1956 morris minor 1000 with a 1275cc engine judson supercharger alternator converted electronic ignition conversion, austin disk brake 13 inch minator wheels custom tuck and roll blue and white seats with metal flake in them a modified MG exhaust system and a pretty loud stereo.

its a full restoration so to speak and were putting the final touches on it and trying to iron out some bugs with it

its twin another 1956 1000 that was the parts car for this one is going to get a full american custom job on it. A 2300cc turbo charged Mustang SVO motor (or over seas a XR4Ti) with a tremec 5 speed tranny and 8.8 inch narrowed rear end out of a mustang as well with a 4 link rear suspension set up and indepent front out of a ford pinto, this is also going to require a full frame be built for the car its also getting the top chopped the front grill molded inot the body (to get red rid of the chrom trim that holds it on) frenched head lights 32 ford teardrop tail lights. nose the front and shave the door handels and the rear license plater area and all other non neccassry things on the body. a drawer pull front grill flat black paint job with a killer flame job on top of it i think thats as far as we have gotten so far in the desgin stage anyway

Just saying hi and telling you about our projects

Stop teasing us with the text.... lets see some pictures :) ....... Please.

I think there are a few posters from North America on here, I'm sure they'll find this topic sooner or later. ;)

Sorry how rude of me .. Welcome to the forum!

I'm in Chicago and gathering info for my wife's '58 build. I'd love to hear more about how you did just about everything on your Morris! :o especially the Judson! Oh yeah, and I wanna see pics, too. :P

Hello there!

I'm from the states...Washington state welcome to the forum. I have posted some pictures of my pending restoration in the Series MM Register under "Restoration Dilemma". Hopefully I will be slowly dissecting it as soon as the weather permits.
You will find that this forum is made up of very nice, helpful folks that want to keep Morris Minors on this earth as long as they can, as I do!

Welcome! If you order the member list by location you may get a wider idea of how many furriners are out there! There is also a customy register thing for people who like inflicting those kind of things onto poor ole moggies!! Good luck to you with the loud sounds- you'll need them to drown the other noises I reckon!

I'm located in Portland, Oregon and driving a bone stock (save for a pertronix) '68 1000. Haven't had to do much to it as it was pretty nice when I bought it, but I'm thinking I'll try to adjust the door shuts today. Cheers.

Welcome aboard, you don't seem shy about jumping into a project. We look forward to seeing the finished projects and the progress of course.

Yes, there are a few of us from this side of the pond. If you're interested, there is a US club and a more US forum. If you're interested, I can send you the information. This site though is where you get the most activity and range of technical info. Although many of donor vehicles for upgrades are not as readily available over here.
