Is this a marina manifold?

Just want to confirm this is the standard marina manifold because it takes a HIF44 and doesn't appear to have been opened up.

Looks like a later Ital A+ manifold....

Agreed its an Ital manifold have you got the matching downpipe as they are awkward to get hold off.
The Marina had the HS4 1 1/2" carb fitted not the later 1 3/4"

Ah thank you, it must have been opened up a bit I'm measuring 45mm also it came with a HIF44. I did get the whole exhaust system apart from the silencer. Do people usually make the whole system fit the minor or graft the downpipes on to the minor?

Not sure that the Marina twin downpipes will clear the Minor chassis? I fabricated my own to tie onto an RC40 system- ended up quite a serpentine affair-also the marina system does not appear to be as readily available as the Minor systems so you could have replacement problems, unless its a stainless job.
Image
It was a right bugger welding the hammer handle in the right position!!
That should give some idea of the sort of "sweep" you need to clear the moggy chassis!

You mean the Ital manifold as the Marina one was a single downpipe.

If the inlet is 'one piece' with the exhaust manifold - then you still have the dreaded power sapping hot spot between the two manifolds. Best to cut the inlet off and either use it - but separated from the exhaust - or use an alloy inlet from the MG Metro.

This is indeed an ital LCB manifold, I'm not sure if anyone's making the downpipe; the company who I wouldn't recommend, but who made the downpipe I've got are apparently not making them anymore and I don't know of another supplier.

Isn't that a beautiful casting? I've seen sculptural "installations" at the National Theatre that it'd knock spots off! It's like cobras mating. I fancy putting one on my Trav. It'd be like giving a fine woman a beautiful necklace. MikeN.

I know some weird women, but I can't imagine the oddest of them hanging an Ital manifold round their neck

As for snakes around the neck- sounds a bit Cleopatra-esque to me!

Well, you two surprise me. I may have waxed a bit lyrical, but surely you can agree on the casting's beauty! And think of the complicated coring and mould to make it! Lukey - if you don't want it, I'll give it a good home!
(And re London modern art, have you seen the rubbish in Tate Modern? Corrr! When I'm Prime Minister I'll have all that rubbish chucked in the Thames and have the steam turbines brought back!) MikeN.
