Just wondering if anyone had any information about the cars used in the film 'The Borrowers' as I can't find any info on the internet about them.

Try Ann Ford, I believe that she and John were involved in selecting the cars.

I'd love to know how the stretch limo moggy was made and what happened to it (I have always presumed it probably ended up on the scrap heap)

I seem to remember that it was a stretched Morris Oxford and according to John Ford it was not a very stiff structure and just about held together.
I don't know what happened to it after the film but I am told that it was not very roadworthy.

What this?
This was owned by the chap (or his nephew) who resprayed my Minor a few years ago. The above picture was taken at our local show in 2007 or 2008, I can't remember off hand. It was for sale last I heard but I have not seen it for a while now.

Pity about the gold paint. If it was in chrome / stainless steel it would look quite attractive.

According to the adverts on ebay, the owner has spent a fortune on it, virtually rebuilding it properly so it works, not just a film prop, and a full leather retrim. Normally ends up around the £1500 reserve not met mark which indicates that it may not have been the investment the owner hoped for. Might have helped if it was road legal...

Paint it white and hire it out as a wedding limo.

I expressed an interest in the car when it was on ebay and got an email back from the seller saying he was "authorised"! to sell it for £5500. He also sent me an email detailing the work that had been done to it. £16500's worth! apparently!! and it still wasnt fit for the road!!! A lot of the things he told me just didnt add up, I did try to get a viewing but he kept fobing me off with excuses. If I can retreve the email I will post it here.
