The seller should also be reported to the Police - Though I doubt they'd do anything about it... Be too difficult for them !!!!

You could try. It has been done before - but then the seller complained to ebay and they upheld his complaint and thretened to kick out the bidder - before he explained the legal side of things it all went rather quiet. :roll:
Go on give it a go. I want to see if it all happens again. :-?

Don't really see the point - the number is 'non-transferrable' - so it's not very attractive. Could only be used to 'ring' a stolen car.

Precisely, Ebay seems to encourage it unless it's reported which is wrong. It should not be allowed to be listed in the first place.

reported to ebay again. Contacted DVLA, told not our problem. Contacted Vosa, suggested police. Have now reported to somerset police.
