ENGINE COLOUR
HI LADS IM GETTIN MY ENGINE SPRAYED IN THE NEXT WEEK OR SO ,WHAT COLOUR WOULD THE ENGINE BEEN SPRAYED ORIGINALLY <br>

Engine block, head, rocker cover, thermostat housing and sump were all green originally on your car. Dynamo would have been either green or black and the rest of the castings would have been left as a raw casting. This is a general list but if you are going concours there is more detail you need to know....?

The closest I think nowadays is Deep Bronze Green. (BS381C).

On one of the historic Mini sites they did a bit of research and tests they found that the most common green used was British Standard Middle Bronze Green but there were some engines that were painted in a darker shade that relates to Deep Bronze Green.

I'm a little late to the conversation, but I used POR15 Austin-Healey green. This stuff won't even scorch with a propane torch. I tried.
