Before I pick up my first moggy...

I don`t want to seem a bit slow..[to the seller].... :D

old trafficators ,don`t tell me it`s the orange things that pop out of the window and blind some cyclist..

Crank handle..is that in case the battery is dead?

will a 1957 be 6 volts or 12?

I have had a few marinas, is the moggy just a smaller version?

Thanks in advance.... :D 8)

They pop out of the B post.

Yes, and it's also handy for doing things like setting the tappets.

All Minors are 12V. They were originally positive earth but many have now been converted to negative earth.

No.

Mick, all Mog's were 12 volt but originally would have been positive earth (many now changed to neg earth though)... Everything else you asked is true :-)

Ask away Mick, someone's always here to help....
ps - I personally think they are very similar to Marina's. Mechanical layout is very similar in particular...
Good luck :-)

There is lots of information on this site ,you can read 4 pages of a dying frog and mot atually means Morris on tour...

What I cannot find is any restorations or do I need to look deeper...?

My Morris has been stood since 1994, I cannot see me turning the key and been able to drive for a mot...

Many many restorations on here - look again - in Bodywork section mostly. The Marina was a later development of the Minor - so indeed - there are many similarities between the cars.
Obviously if it's been standing all the time (hopefully indoors?) there will be much to do before getting an MOT. Bodyshell rot is the killer - mechanical parts are cheap and easy to fix.
