Now in a position to post as I have been given a minor, which I intent to restore as best i can.
Have so far got it running, Plugs, points, condenser, leads, dizzy cap and rotor arm. box of latex gloves all for £26.00).
Then started on removing body parts to see how bad it is. Fronts wings scrap, flitch panels look like they need replacing inner wings not so bad at front edge will patch.
I havent removed the kick plates yet to see what horrors are beyond.

Never done anything like this before have bought an Ebay welder (clarke 100 EN) and have been practising.

Any advice welcome.

hi,and welcome iv,e had my morris now for the last 3 months and doing it a bit at a time and really enjoy working on it and seeing it all come together all i can say is dont rush it,your one is same coulour as mine and looks in better nick so good luck and you can always get advice on this forum ,its helped me a great deal.

As promised the wings and kick plates have been removed.

How bad is this? What panels do I need? what order? any advise appreciated feel a little bit overwhelmed at the moment.<br><br><br><br><br><br><br><br><br><br>

wow you have a lot of work there

a total rebuild is necessary

most panels are available
rear inner wings, front inner wings, hinge pillar, tho you will have to fabricate a top part of the inner wing

all parts for cills are available

hope you jave done welding before

but i would say, not beyond repair but a hell of a lot of work, and make sure it all aligns properly, and do not cut all the rot out firat, get the panels and see what you need to cut out

or maybe just to much

That's all standard rot for a Mog! Have a look at the online suppliers wensites for pictures of repair panels and you'll soon see what parts you need. Some bits are easy to make from sheet and will be cheaper than buying panels. Work through one section at a time and concentrate on getting the strength back into the shell first. Also, measure door gap sizes and take some reference points from the original car so you know that you are welding the new panels in the right place.

Remember if door gaps are good to brace across doors and across width of car so when you cut out rot you keep the shape of the shell and doors will hopefully fit again

That reminds me of my Traveller last spring

All straight forward to replace though, just concentrate on 1 area at a time, cutting out the rust and welding in new metal. It will be finished before you know it.

Got what I thinnk is my first shopping list,

boxing plate RP109R
f. kickplate RP110AR
r. kick plate RP110BR
sill finisher RP112R
hinge post complete RP123R
flitch repair panel RP124AR

Best order to fit? anything I should be aware of? anything else I have missed on sill hinge?

Looks like you've got your work cut out there. Ive had to do pretty much all that you have done, with the exception of flitch panels and A pillars.
take a methodical approach, cut out EVERYTHING that is rusty, dont plate anything, as you'll just be cutting it out in 3 years time!
