Never forget Bill Brysons write up of his visit. How the ranger recounted how in the early days of the National Park The authorities knew there was a volcano there at one time but couldn't find the caldera (hole in the middle).
When the US Air force sent them some photos taken at high altitude they found it.
The whole park WAS the caldera! 60 miles wide!
Older and more confused than I could ever imagine possible.
