Bit of a snag today. Was needing to remove the window glass to install new rail rubber, but could not figure out for the life of me how to get the glass to slide off the window mechanism, even with window frame completely unbolted and raised out as far as I could get. Could not get frame off completely because of the bolt tab on the bottom of the front rail that hangs up if you cannot get the glass out.
Ended up just moving the glass to the side and installing the rubber with someone holding the frame.
May get a chance to try the other door tomorrow (Sunday) if I can get some tips, otherwise, I'm stuck doing the same process.
Manual indicates that I should be able to just lift it out and it slides off the the end of the window bar, but window will not raise high enough for the bar to slide off.

The manual is correct, but every time I do it, I fiddle for ages, then it happens simply, and I can't work out what all the fuss was about - until I do the next one, when I'm back to square one.

One technique that I have seen used is to completely undo the bolts holding the frame to the door, then half raise the window, and then lift the glass and frame together, tilting as you go to disengage the glass from the arm.

For rubber replacement, an easier way is to remove the felt buffer that stops the descent of the window. This will usually allow and extra 1/2 inch of downward travel for the glass, which makes it much easier to fit the various seals. The pad goes back in place with a touch of Evostick or similar.

A word of caution!
When you have undone all the nuts and bolts you can find and you have your fingers inside the the door frame then the window mechanism suddenly drops -- IT HURTS!!!

Well, got the other side out much easier than the other door yesterday.
Left the glass in (wouldn't come all the way out without breaking the seal on the mount to the base), but easy to finish up.
