hi everyone
just brought my first minor a 1965 1000.
she does need alot of work can any body tell me what the correct order and assembly of the sills should be as mine are shot and have been patched several times so from what i can see there isnt much of the original sills left to go by. ive started getting the parts together inner ,outer, boxing and finisher and that sill cover or rust hider .lol
here is a pic of the sill area any help before i start would be great
cheers jon

first thing you want to do is weld a brace across the door frame a to b post to stop sagging when you cut the sills out. Then good luck with it

Welcome to the Forum! Have a look through the bodywork section - some of the contributors have vast picture shows of how to do this !
I would take the door off (mainly for access and to save banging your head on it) - and yes, strengthen the shell with some good bracing before you start - and only do one side at a time. Have you surveyed the whole car thoroughly to check what else needs doing before you start ? Better to know now rather than discover some potentially expensive horrors later.

Sills eh, a fairly straightforward but time consuming job. Id start by welding some good strong bits of angle iron across the doors to keep everything rigid. Then cut away everything that looks rusty, once you've done that.......then prepare your panel shopping list! Then its a matter of building back out from the floor pan.
Have a look through here, might help.
