Fitting door locks

Hi
I have a 2 door 1958 saloon and currently have no way of locking the doors from the inside. I'd like to be able to for safety reasons. I've seen on Bull Motif you can get door lock catches to fit so that you can do this. Has anyone had any experience at fitting these? Thanks.

There were a few variations of door lock over the years. Unless you know every detail of the car's history the first thing to do is to look at what's there at present:
Can you use a key from the outside? Not all door skins have the holr for the key to get to the lock!
Is there a hole on the inside of the door, below the rear edge of the window frame, and not quite opposite the key hole on the outside? There might well be evidence of a broken shaft showing in the hole; or there could be a blanking grommet. NB, this is the inside edge of the door, not the three bolt holes on the rear edge.
If you have all holes then the locks will probably be ready to accept the levers that you need, but you will still need to check carefully. I'll try to post a photo later; but you are looking for a hole where you can insert a locking lever.
The locking lever (DLK108 and DLK109) sticks through the small hole on the inside of the door and turns through 90 degrees to lock and unlock the door. NB The levers are handed. If you put the wrong one on the wrong door then it will turn towards the rear of the car and either stop the door closing properly or break off. The lever should turn forwards to lock and be pointing downwards when unlocked. Further NB: If you turn it to lock and then close the door from outside whilst leaving the keys in the ignition: TOUGH LUCK. You will need either a spare key or employ other methods of entry as the door will be locked.
The locking lever is retained by a spring loaded pin that pops into a slot in the main lock assembly. To remove a broken pin, use a small screwdriver or similar to push the pin in whilst pulling the old lever out.
Vans and four doors are, of course, completely different.
