Hi all, Has anyone fitted a mini steering column to a moggy. Why I hear you ask. Well it would give me mini indicator stalk and wiper wash stalk with a nice cowl. Any abvice?

never done it myself, but my mind is telling me it would be shorter?? but maybe you can cut and extend?

I bought one a while ago. It's still under the sideboard. The column's too short, and I don't know about the splines, but I only wanted the stalks and cowl. I'm going to put those on the minor column.

This all started when I bought a column from what i was told was a late car. It has the ignition switch with steering lock on it. I was thinking about the cowl and saw the mini one. it looked like it would fit but if it doesn't perhaps i need to look for a late morris cowl. can anyone supply a picture of one.

i do not know if the mini will fit but Owen burton describes how to fit an ambassador / princess column the trouble would be finding one!

the aussies use the ford laser column which i believe is the mazda 323 the link takes you to a description on how to do it...

i used the top part of the outer columb but with the moggy inner.
the bracket from the mini has to be used and the plastic cowl needs cut for this bracket.
