hello
i posted a message about my broken traveller door a while ago..stilll haven't got it fixed. the man i use seems a bit bemused as to how to go a bout it. options seem to be:
new door: worried wood won't match.
metal brackets? possible option
insert whole new piece of wood across the top from charles ware website...? however the piece of wood they supply seems to be in one piece and mine is in two. does this matter?
i have just taken some pictures and would be very pleased if someone could give me (and my meachanic!) some advice.
also; the short b ottom piece of wood to the right of the door on the left hand side is rotton. i notice charles ware can supply this peice. does it just screw in?

After owning 2 travellers over the past 5 years i am now the proud owner of Doris a maroon 4 door saloon. My only car it does a high mileage and as i'm no mechanic we do run into problems....but most are surmountable and i love my car to bits!

Hi Lucy,
A metal palte would do a as temporary measure to keep the door in one peice. I would get another door, either new or there are lots of secondhand ones around. Heres a pair on ebay at the moment, though too far away for you! Keep lookng a they come up quite often and usually cheaper than these

Or if the main side member with the hinges attached is ok - just buy the parts required and stain them to match the old timber. Should surely be easy enough to fit to the door. Check other suppliers for best price before buying!
