Has anyone else had the experience of manifold nuts coming loose?
I am running the brass type and have found recently that they are coming undone slightly after a few hundred miles.
I will probably change them for a steel locking type, but just wondered if others have had the same prob on modded or standard a series's

Brass are best! They may be badly worn - or the engine may have severe vibration. The long brass nuts are the best ones to have - they are about an inch long, and easier to get a spanner on too.

my dad has had this problem, its a standard 1275 engine with an alloy inlet manifold and a triple branch. he did not buy any new nuts though...so i wonder if it could have an effect as they could wear i suppose...but i would imagine someone of your building skills would have got new ones!

You could possibly wire them together.

I find h/d lock washers work for me even though my nuts are worn

worn nuts is never good eh?
I might try new brass ones before looking at other options then.
