14th Feb - shiny Minor wanted in Wark's

Hi everyone.
This is probably a cheeky ask, but here goes.
I'd like a Shiny Minor to use for a couple of hours in Leamington Spa on the 14th Feb (2pm to 4:30pm). Distance to be covered = 0.7 miles total with 2 passengers (one in a big white dress).

A convertible would be nice but not essential. Any interesting classic would be considered!

Let me know...

(costs to be covered etc... ;-) )

What a great ask. Maybe we should set up a hire and borrow forum for Morris Minors because I'm sure there are lots of people who would like to experience one for short times at small cost.

And I'm also one of them - I've never driven one, even though I'm in the middle of a compelte rebuild and I was under 8 years old when I was last driven around in one! Sometime I'll need to experience a good one so I know what I'm aiming for.

Why don't you contact someone from the Herts branch and ask exactly that, or go to meeting. You might get a trip around the carpark at the very least!

Yes I will indeed once I can persuade my dear employer and network rail to let me get home sometime on Wednesday evenings!

Don't worry I'm the same, I bought for first minor over two years ago, driven it into the garage a couple of times, nothing more than that.

Me to..... never driven one, yet getting one on the road...

Sorry Ray, we seem to have robbed your thread of your initial request.

Er last time he contacted the branch he ended up with the car that he now has under restoration.
But I am sure we can sort out a visit to one of our summer run outs.

If I had my 1927 Morris Cowley back from restoration, you could have used that :(

If you really get stuck, Ray, and don't mind a bit of red oxide on the wedding video  you can always rely on Gracie as a back-up. :D

I KNOW you said shiney but hey...

I may be persuaded if you don't mind a clunky first gear...

Congratulations!
Green Series 2 convertible that scrubs up fairly well here if you need it btw.
