Can anybody help?
Currently restoring a 1962 orignal convertible that was yellow.
Would like to keep it the same colour.
Does anybody no the original colour. Also should it have a coacline,if so what colour?

The only Yellow used was Highway Yellow and the coachline was Blue, it was only available for a year and is a rather rare colour.

It should also have pale blue duotone seats!

Yes the colour would be highway yellow, BMC paint code YL9.
and it would have a pearl grey hood.
As Kevin says it is very rare, only 700 were built so I can't imagine there are many left.

I have only seen 2 or 3 over the last 10 years at Rally's and in case you dont realise its a pale yellow rather than a loud yellow.

We have a porcelain green 4dr. 1961 from the same era. Think BMC were trying out a few "pastel shades" Pity but it would seem they didn't catch on.
