Recommendations for MOT Centre in Exeter/Devon?

I've had my moggie for nearly a year now and the MOT time is getting nearer. Can anyone recommend a Classic friendly garage for the MOT ... I'm worried about taking her to a modern MOT Centre in case they're not used to something a bit different? I've no reason to think there will be any problem with the MOT, as she's still looking good and driving well.

Hi,

For MOT I take Sarah to Greenslade's garage which is near St. David's station. There's a chap there who used to work in the local BMC dealership, and a few older guys who know what they're doing.

There is a specialist classic car garage called Snow and Stephens which is just off New North Road, behind the Esso petrol station. Although knowledgable I found their MOT a bit on the strict side (wouldn't accept patching on the centre crossmember).

If you want a Minor specialist there is one in Chagford that advertises in Minor Matters. However I've never used them so don't know what they're like.

Samsons Garage Exmouth.

Best local classic friendly place I found in and around Exeter, tried a few of the ex BMC people but BMC went down the pan for a reason...the people running them!

All my minors have been down there for work. Cant reccomend enough.

Always gives mine the once over before the MOT and dosent charge the earth.
