I was recently told that a hard surface is a myth, as the back needs support, as when sitting.

it's worked ok in the past. I have a curved spine anyway + I've been away from home sleeping on a horrible soft mattress for 2 weeks without a break! I want to go home and sleep in my nice rock hard bed, but there's no bathroom there at the moment... so I need a working back.

Ahem - back on topic.. Happy new year to all!! I'm going to creep downstairs and drink a can of beer whilst watching the TV countdown. The beer might help me sleep too

Maybe not a myth then,
when it comes to 'cures' (for anything) it usually varies between people. What one person swears by is never a guarantee for anyone else ;-)

Happy New Year to all from Mango land

I was catching up with quite a few cousins at a family do but no sore head today as was driving - just a small glass of bubbles at the appointed hour.

Well, the TV fireworks (London) were pretty impressive (and my back's a fair bit better).
Here's to a better year than last year! :D
