Will definatley work with a 1275.
On my 1.3 Montego the same type of electronic distributor failed so after checking found 1275 A plus engines in Ital and Metro had similar specs so used a points dizzy out of one of those.

Will work with an A plus not an A series, so not it wont work on your 1098 - sorry
