I have a new old stock speedometer for a MM/series 11, its marked in KILOMETRES PER HOUR and reads 00000! Also availbale are the glove box lids for left hand drive.

What is the number on the face of the speedo to the right of the needle? 1600 = Series MM, 1000 = Series II.
It is quite easy to reset the mileage on those speedos, I always set the mileage on the new one to the same as the old one if I have to change speedos for any reason.

Just checked this and it has 1000, so it must be a series 11. New old stock, bought from France without thinking it was going to be in KPH rather than MPH. The fuel gauge and oil pressure are also new, keeping them!

You may be able to sell it to overseas visitors at the next Nat. Rally.
Anyway I thought Ireland had gone over to kilometers or is that just the South?

Yes Southern Ireland have changed over to kilometres in the last couple of years as some sort of EU rule.

Another reason for keeping out of the EU.
