hello i am going to dig out a crank tomorrow that i got with other morris parts i bought i have never unwraped it to see what it is at the moment condition unkown can i identyfy it with any marks ,,thanks,,grandad

You got me there gd!
If it has six bolt holes in the rear flange - it's for a 1275. If it looks like a bit of bent wire - it's for an 803 engine.
Otherwise -I would need to firstly measure the bearing sizes as later 1098 Spridget cranks had 2" mains, otherwise 1.75" All 948/1098 big-ends are 1.625".
1275 cranks have 2" mains - with 1.75" bigends it's from a Marina/Ital, with 1.625" big ends it's from a Spridget.
To distinguish between 948 and 1098 cranks you would need to measure the stroke!

hello i am sure that is morris 1000,as it was with loads of other stuff all morris but which size its well wraped up so hopeing its good. i will come back to when i get it out,,,thanks grandad

I 'think' - if you study the shaft - the 948 big-ends will slightly overlap the main bearings - but on a 1098 crank the big-ends will NOT overlap the mains due to the longer stroke.
