Hi guys
I'll probably be posting a few pleas for help ove the forthcoming weeks as I discover problems.
1970 Morris Minor been left outside for the past 9 months with NIL attention.
I decided to check the lights today and discovered none of them are working. Neither is the little bulb at the end of the indicator stalk. Any ideas where I should start - it would be strange if all the bulbs were broken.
Also, one front side light has gone. How does one remove the cover to access the bulb?
This is the type

Cheers
John

You push it in and turn anticlockwise, but not too far or the sidelight bulb will hit the divider.

If you look inside the inner wings you will see some bullet connectors which go into black plastic shrouds. These are notorious for failing. You will need to carefully pull the wires from the shrouds, clean them, grease them up and put back together again. Check all these connections and also the earths which just push into clips on the inner wings. The failed sidelight may also be due to a bad earth. I've had to run a separate earth to the units before now as they are supposed to earth through the body but corrosion usually prevents this happening....

Stitch-up - any chance you could remove the logo and link in your sig? Advertising isn't allowed here - and I know it looks like I am, but traders are obliged to say who they work for. No problem leaving that, but the logo and link aint allowed Cheers

Done, I think! Sorry for that.
Meanwhile, can someone ID the small bulb fitted to the end of the indicator stalk?
I've now got the indicators working but don't know what I did - maybe just fiddling around corrected the fault.
Cheers

Sounds like a suspect connection.
