What is the correct paint colour for oct 68 Traveller
Hi There,
Wondering if anyone can advise on the correct colour of my Oct 1968 Traveller was informed by the previous owner that it was Trafalgar Blue and that this is a rover colour. Log book says its Blue. have looked on motif site says there is no such thing as Trafalgur Blue. Only persian bermuda and teal blue. The traveller is 2 different shades of blue at present and is in bad need of a respray, Can anyone please advise will try to attach a image before stripped down and attach.
Thanks in advance.[/img]

It's a BMC/BL colour, though some paint factors might have it wrongly listed under Rover. The BMC/BL paint code is BU37. You might be able to get a can mixed up for you at Halfords.

If it doesn't work, you're not hitting it with a big enough hammer.

I have had it mixed at Halfords. It was about 5 years ago but as they still provide the same service it should still be available. Other moggie colours are still obtainable. I think traffy blue was listed under Leyland. One word of caution though It's possible your car has the later shade. The paint mix supplied is the earlier shade. It has a hint of green in comparison with the later type which (to my eye) is a pure blue with no additional colour cast.
Older and more confused than I could ever imagine possible.

That's right I had a couple of cans of smoke grey made up earlier this year it will be listed under BLMC or the colour and Trafalgar Blue is a very common colour.I have had it mixed at Halfords. It was about 5 years ago but as they still provide the same service it should still be available.
Cheers
