Who else uses these size tyres? What are your experiences. One I have just found. THEY DONT LIKE SNOW.

It will depend on the tread pattern - and the pressures. You have quite a light car on wide(ish) tyres - not ideal for snow! The answer on snow is very narrow tyres - with open 'block' tread - and if need be lowish pressures.

Well we don't get snow all that often. Thank God.

Aye - unfortunately in Central Ecosseland we had virtually none - but I believe Ilkley and surrounds had quite a bit! Did you not sell some winter tread tyres a few weeks ago ??

Yes, traded them for bootlid repair panels. Mind you I don't have a set of standard size wheels now.

yes - as already mentioned, wide tyres are poor in the snow. They also reduce your grip in the wet!
As a Minor is very light on the rear driven axle, some ballast may help - I only did for 2 or 3 winters this when I lived out in the wilds or worked in the middle of Nowhereville 20 years ago - it really seemed to help.
However 20 years ago I was an inexperienced driver, therefore not always a good recommendation but many others say the same so I guess there's some truth in it.
These days the anti-fun police would criticse anyone for carrying excess weight due to reduced fuel economy, however lets remember that household energy causes more polution than cars ;-)
